Ali Syverson

Ali Syverson (b. 1993) is a visual artist and writer, originally from Minnesota and most recently living in Washington, DC. Ali’s art and written publications tell stories that inspire conservation, connection, and reverence for the natural environment and other beings. Her visual art portfolio includes abstract and realistic acrylic paintings, drawings, murals, digital illustrations, and photography. She has shown her artwork in galleries in solo and group showings in Washington DC, New York, Maryland, Wisconsin, Florida, Virginia, Connecticut, and Minnesota; was an artist-in-residence at the Foundation House climate justice residency and Hilltown Commons, and has received several grants for her visual arts work. For her writing practice, she has researched and published articles on climate and environmental issues in the Pacific Islands, Middle East, Africa, and Asia, which she completed while working as a writer for the U.S. Agency for International Development.
